In response to recent feedback, we are in the process of adding more choices for waste disposal. That will include grab lorries and various skip sizes.

If you use a different skip size than our default 8 yard skip, you can work around this by following the instructions below.

For example: If you use a 6 yard skip that costs say £144.00 each.

1: Divide the price by the skip size 6 / £144.00 = £24.00

2: Multiply £24.00 by 8 = £192.00

3: Enter £192.00 in our default 8 yard skip.

This will work for any skip size, although it is only intended as a temporary fix.

Please ensure the price entered excludes profit.

We include this item in all jobs for the whole project duration.

The unit of measure used for scaffolding m2. Multi-Lift scaffolding is used for; new elevations, rendering or pointing existing elevations. Single lift scaffolding is used for; for loft conversions and re-roofing.

The labour cost of the principle or the principle’s foreman is not included in the labour sections. These have been included in Preliminaries as the following; We have assumed, 50% of all non-productive time is spent in a supervisory or management role. To calculate the cost we use the project duration in weeks multiplied by 50% of the foreman’s rate. Some small builders do not employ a foreman. In these instances we recognise the principle as the foreman.

Suppliers generally absorb the cost of delivery to site, although we recognise some materials and plant may incur delivery charges. Due to the complexity of material variants and unknown distances between the supplier and site we have not included any delivery costs. We have included in the Preliminaries time off site for a labourer-driver for the day-to-day collection and delivery of materials, plant and equipment.

In some cases additional labourers need to be added, commonly for jobs that have restricted access. To add labourers workout how many are required multiplied by how many weeks duration.

For example: 2 labourers for 3 weeks 2 x 3 = 6 weeks enter 6 weeks in the option box. If you do not want this option just enter zero 0
